01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

After sharing sashimi and grilled fugu, some diners finish with ramen. One family visiting for a birthday meal enjoyed sashimi, followed by grilled fugu, seared meat, fried oysters and menchi katsu, before rounding things off with ramen. The menchi katsu stood out to them: they recall its juices flowing at the first bite.

That was one group’s meal, of course. The menu also lists tuna and whale bacon alongside fugu, making it possible to choose several small plates for the evening.

If you’re looking forward to a final bowl, there are several ramen options. The shoyu soba, described as having a clean, sharp finish and made with a blend of 4 types of soy sauce, costs 900 yen; the shio soba is 850 yen. Dipping noodles served with kombu water cost 900 yen. Choose according to whether you want a light finish or noodles to take centre stage. The menu also lists plain rice, rice with raw egg, a chashu pork rice bowl, and fried chicken with rice. Bottled beer is available, too, offering another option to pair with fugu or fried dishes.

The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday from 18:00 to 23:00, and closed on Sunday and Monday. It’s an option for an izakaya-style evening when you’d like to choose a final bowl as well.
